Leroy Sane is looking forward to playing for Germany at the 2026 World Cup after playing a limited role in the last two major tournaments.

Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane, 28, has revealed he is looking forward to playing for Germany at the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, after he and his wife took several vacations to North America, Kicker reported on Friday.

Sane was left out of the final squad for the 2018 World Cup before returning to the squad for the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024 this summer, but has played a limited role since recovering from injury, and the 28-year-old is hoping to play a key role at World Cups in the next two years.

‘My wife Candice is American and we go there for holidays a lot,’ Zane said. ‘I’m love the atmosphere in LA. I can walk across the street or have dinner with my family without being disturb. I like taking selfies and signing autographs.’

‘But if nobody remembers you, that’s fine too. And of course my goal is to play a major role in the World Cup. Because of my injury, I couldn’t do that at the Euros as planned. That may change in 2026.’

At the 2018 World Cup, Sané barely missed the cut for the final roster. In 2022. He played a full match against ยูฟ่าเบท Costa Rica and was a sub against Spain. If he can maintain his starting status at Bayern Munich, he can expect to be a major contributor to Germany’s attack.

In addition, it should be note that the 2025 Club World Cup will be host by the United States as well and Sané did not even mention it. Apparently the players and fans are equally excited for the Club World Cup and that is not a positive sign.
